Funding your Case
Legal Aid for Public Law Children Matters
PS Law LLP holds a Legal Aid contract and is able to undertake work on qualifying Children Law matters on behalf of clients who have the benefit of a Legal Aid Certificate. Some public law proceedings lead you to be automatically entitled to Legal Aid, such as if the Local Authority apply for a Care Order or Supervision Order. In some proceedings you may qualify for Legal Aid depending on your financial circumstances and the merits of your case.
Our Lawyers can discuss with you whether you are likely to qualify for Legal Aid and what evidence (if any) you will need to provide. If you do not qualify for Legal Aid we can offer you an initial fixed fee appointment to discuss your concerns and possible action you can take, with no obligation to instruct us further if you choose not to.

Fee Structure in Private Law Children Matters
Making an application to the Family Court to resolve issues relating to your children or grandchildren can be a daunting process. We are able to assist in providing advice from the outset and support you through the process either by fully representing you in the proceedings, or continuing to provide you with advice when you need it.
We suggest that you initially meet with us for a ‘fixed fee’ appointment during which time we can fully discuss your concerns and set out steps that you may wish to take to resolve the issues you raise with us. There is no obligation to continue to instruct us following this meeting and it may be that you have been provided with all the answers that you require at that time, or that you choose to return for further assistance in the future. During our fixed fee meeting we can discuss with you our legal costs and funding options. Contact us to book a fixed fee appointment.
